Sensory Friendly Certification

Sensory Friendly Businesses provide guests of all ages with accommodations that allow them to visit without feeling overwhelmed and overstimulated.

These accommodations include...

• Special, Sensory Friendly events or hours with dimmed lights, and low or no music.

• A quiet corner or sensory room where patrons can go if they need to escape the crowd.

• Sensory Bags filled with tools to help regulate.

We cater each bag to each business, but most of our bags include: 

- An “Explore On The Spectrum“ canvas bag

- A pair of noise-canceling headphones 

- A variety of fidget and calming toys

- A drawing tablet 

Sensory Friendly Certification (starting at $500)

This package includes:

• One-hour in-person consultation to tour your space and create a tailored sensory-friendly plan
• Guidance on creating a sensory room, quiet corner, and sensory-friendly event/hours
• Explore on the Spectrum Sensory Bag for your patrons to rent (valued at $60)
• Certified Sensory Friendly Sticker for your door
• Collaborative Social Media Post promoting your certified business
• Listing in our Weekly Roundup Post showcasing local sensory-friendly spaces
• One promotional video of your first Sensory Day
• One additional video (two total). Additional videos available at an extra cost

Client Responsibilities

To ensure the success of this partnership, the client agrees to:

• Display the Sensory Friendly sticker and have all sensory-friendly modifications (sensory areas labeled, sensory bag available, etc.) installed at least 2 weeks prior to the event
• Allow the creation of a recurring Facebook Event at least 2 weeks in advance and add Explore on the Spectrum as a co-host
• Approve and help promote the infographic created to announce the Sensory Day
• Be available for coordination of promotional video capture

Payment Terms

• Total Cost: $500
• A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your consultation
• Remaining balance of $400 is due immediately after the consultation, before any promotional materials or videos are posted

Late Payment Clause:

A late fee of $25 per week will be added to any outstanding balance not paid within 7 days of the invoice date.

Non-Payment Clause

Full payment is required for the use of the Sensory Friendly Certified title and inclusion in all promotional efforts.

If full payment is not received within 4 weeks of the consultation:

- The business will lose Sensory Friendly Certification

- The Sensory Friendly Certified sticker must be removed immediately

- All videos, images, social media posts, and directory listings related to your business will be removed

- Continued use of Explore on the Spectrum branding or certification will be considered a violation of this agreement

Additionally, a $25 late fee per week applies beginning 7 days after the invoice date.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

• The $100 deposit is non-refundable
• If the client cancels after the consultation, no refund will be issued for services already rendered
• Rescheduling must be requested with at least 7 days’ notice

Liability Clause

Explore on the Spectrum is not liable for any incidents, damages, or claims that occur on the client’s property before, during, or after implementation of the sensory-friendly services or events. The client retains full responsibility for the safety and accommodations of their patrons.

Media & Promotion Consent

By signing this agreement, the client grants Explore on the Spectrum permission to film, photograph, and promote their business and event on social media and related platforms.

Explore on the Spectrum will come and do a detailed video of your space, and a video interview of you sharing your experience, services, and a little about your business. 

Sensory bags are a great offering for businesses, restaurants, and event spaces. They are filled with tools that make it easier for neurodivergent patrons to enjoy their visit. Simply exchange the bag for their I.D., and they can use the bag during their stay.
